How to Remove Makeup Stains from Carpet

If you’ve ever tried to get lipstick or makeup out of carpet, you know how challenging it can be. Here’s an easy home remedy that can help.

  1. Sprinkle baking soda onto the affected spot. Then, agitate with a spoon and vacuum up. Repeat as needed.
  2. Mix a cleaning solution of 3 oz. Ammonia and 12 oz. water into a clean spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the carpet. Then, agitate with a spoon and blot up using a clean, white towel. Repeat this step as needed.
  3. Next, rinse the area with cold water and then blot dry with a fresh, white towel.
  4. Finally, mix another cleaning solution together consisting of 4 oz. white vinegar and 12 oz. of water into another clean spray bottle. Spray the area and allow it to sit for 1-2 minutes. Lastly, blot dry.
